Biography
Jules Allen was born in London and moved to Norfolk in 2002 to attend Norwich University of the Arts where she has since achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Printmaking and Photo Media.Following the success of her degree show, she was presented with the Limberhurst Press Award and selected to exhibit at Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery as part of Platform 5, an initiative funded by the Arts Council to promote emerging artists in the region.
In 2004 she went on to study for a Masters Degree in Fine Art during which time she gained the Targetfollow Award for Installation and won first place for the prestigious Bishops Prize. She graduated as an MA in September 2006 and has recently been selected for an Escalator retreat at Wysing Arts, Cambridge. She lives and works from her home studio in North Norfolk.
2012 sees the launch of a dedicated artists' book fair in the Forum, Norwich (Eastern Region) of which she is founder member.
